My one-of-a-kind lampshades are created entirely by hand. First, I marble the fabric allowing the colors and patterns to develop organically. Once the marbling is complete, I choose a frame that complements the particular pattern and then I select trims and other materials to bring the design together.
From there, the building begins. Each frame is carefully bound with fabric tape before being covered with a diffuser layer. I then pin and hand-sew each individual panel into place, keeping the fabric carefully tensioned for a smooth, tailored finish.
Because marbling is literally fluid, no two pieces of fabric can ever be exactly alike. You may notice small variations or irregularities in the pattern however I don't consider these imperfections as they are part of the beauty of the process and a reminder that each shade was made by hand.
Every finished lamp is therefore truly one of a kind with its own combination of color, pattern, materials, and character.
The pattern was made with combs and rakes but no real name for it exists. That's part of the fun and beauty of marbling, there are so many different possibilities.
This lamp also has hand-beaded accents. Each strand is hand beaded and designed by me.

An additional invoice for shipping will be sent once you have selected your preferred option.
If the shipping cost is more than you are comfortable with, you may cancel the purchase and your original payment will be refunded in full.
Once shipping has been paid, your lampshade will typically ship within 3–5 business days.
