This drum style table or floor lampshade is made from scratch.
I marble paper and from there I figure out how wide and tall I'd like to make the shade. I then cut styrene to ffit and apply the paper. From there I wrap the styrene around the rings and voilà! A lampshade is born.
This one in particular made me thing of the late, great, David Bowie. I love this kind of marble with the stone pattern over bright, intense colors, and when I added the fringe, well, who doesn't think of David Bowie?! I should mention here that I have a ten foot tall, way bigger than lifesize vinyl poster of Ziggy Stardust in my kitchen, he hangs with me while I cook and do dishes. I'm pretty sure it was he who named this lamp.
